Everything I need to know about life I learned teaching 3rd grade

The end of the school year is a delightful time to work in a school. It's almost as crazy awesome as the holiday season. There is excitement, and dare I say...magic? in the air. There are parties and programs to be attended. The kids are crazy and ridiculous. The anticipation for lazy summer days is tangible.

Picture this...

Today, all 8 third grade classes (approximately 200 kids) were out on the field practicing a dance for next week's program. In this particular dance, each student has an opposite gender partner (or an invisible one since I have 947 boys and only 2 girls in my class). At one point of the dance, one of my boys said, "I have no idea what I'm doing!" to which one of my other boys replied, "just follow your girl, she knows where to go!".

Profound eh?
